Santee Blakey is the Community Engagement and Research Coordinator at Illinois Tech, where she collaborates on projects that improve health outcomes,
particularly for communities that experience difficulty in accessing quality healthcare. Her background includes social service case management and
recovery support for mental health and substance use. She earned a Bachelor’s degree focusing on sociological content from The University of Chicago and completed Illinois Tech’s CRSS Success Program, receiving her ICB certification in 2024. Passionate about holistic well-being and personal
growth, Santee specializes in peer counseling, training, workshop facilitation, and community engagement.
