BIONUTRITION RESEARCH CORE

ITM’s bionutrition research services give investigators access to a full metabolic research kitchen and a suite of gold-standard assessment tools, from DEXA scanning and indirect calorimetry to bioimpedance analysis and whole room calorimetry, alongside expert support for diet counseling and nutrition education. Whether you're designing a feeding study, measuring energy expenditure, or assessing body composition, the Bionutrition Core of the Clinical Research Center has the facilities and expertise to make it happen.

INFORMATICS & DATA SCIENCE

The ITM connects investigators across partner institutions to the informatics infrastructure and data science expertise needed to design stronger studies, ask better questions, and move from idea to insight faster. Whether you need to explore clinical data across multiple health systems, get statistical guidance, build and deploy a survey, or capture and manage research data, these resources are here to support you at any stage of your project, and without the barriers that typically slow research down.

BIOSTATISTICS

The Biostatistics Laboratory is a collaborative team of statisticians, data scientists, and research professionals who support investigators across the University with study design, grant development, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. ITM researchers at every stage of a project can partner with the Biostatistics Laboratory for short-term consultation on statistical methods, analytic planning, and related research questions.

CYCLOTRON

The University of Chicago Cyclotron Facility is a state-of-the-art radiochemistry and radiopharmaceutical production facility supporting pre-clinical and clinical imaging research. Its IBA Cyclone® 18 cyclotron produces a range of short-lived isotopes and radioactive compounds — including FDA-approved investigational agents for human use — and operates alongside the integrated Small Animal Imaging Research Resource (iSAIRR) to offer investigators access to specialized infrastructure that is rare outside of major academic medical centers.
