Grant Writing Support
Experts demystify the K application process and give you individualized feedback on your grant and what
makes or breaks your application. While it’s not a replacement for a committed mentor, it will give you the
necessary skills for creating a strong application in a supportive environment.
Science Communication
You cannot change the world with research and medicine without strategic communication. The ITM’s
Communication program builds the science of human connection into its work serving everyone from
world-renowned physicians and researchers, award-winning campaigns, and the National Institutes of Health.
Enhancing Quality in the Translational Research Workforce Conference (EQUATR)
The Enhancing Quality in the Translational Research Workforce Conference (EQuaTR) offers the opportunity for clinical research staff to learn from leaders in the field, gaining practical knowledge on current trends andissues in clinical research. EQuaTR is presented by the NUCATS Institute, the Institute for Translational
Medicine, and the UIC Center for Clinical and Translational Science.
ITM Grand Rounds
The ITM Grand Rounds series brings together researchers, clinicians, research staff, trainees, and members of the
broader community to explore timely topics and emerging issues in clinical and translational science.
Through presentations and discussions led by experts from across the ITM and beyond, the series highlights innovative
research, scientific discoveries, and approaches that advance translational science and improve human health. Sessions
also provide opportunities to share ideas, foster collaboration, and connect members of the research community across
disciplines and institutions.
